Why Every Spartan Bipod and Tripod Uses the Same Modular Leg System

Why Every Spartan Bipod and Tripod Uses the Same Modular Leg System

What is the M14x1.5 Modular Leg

Since 2013, Spartan Precision Equipment has been on a quest to create rifle and optic support systems that weigh less and do more. Throughout the dozens of prototypes, and constant innovation of our five product lines, Mr. G had the foresight to keep one thing consistent: the M14x1.5 modular leg. This means users can swap heads and legs across different bipod and tripod ranges to create the perfect tool for each shooting situation.

Why we designed every product like LEGOs

We consider the M14x1.5 thread design on each of our legs to be a core piece Spartan of technology, right up there with the MagnaSwitch™, Disc-Lok™, and Springbok Silicone. Every bipod and tripod we make has legs with the same thread size, making them interchangeable. Being avid shooters ourselves, we understand that every shooting setup can present a unique challenge. Even if one of our products doesn’t quite suit every need out of the box, the M14 modular leg design means a shooting setup can be highly personalized.

From the Javelin Lite to Ascent legs, the options for the platform you can build are as diverse as a LEGO set.

What if you’ve got a body type that requires specialized setup?

Take Joe Eppele from The Edge TV Show as an example. He is a former professional football player, whose 6’ 8” tall stature makes it awkward to use gear designed for the rest of us.

The delightfully lightweight Hoplite Mini Tripod has a leg height adjustment range from 5”- 17”. Joe needed more ground clearance, so he unscrewed the legs and replaced them with our Pro Legs. This increased adjustment range from 19.5" - 42” of ground clearance allowed Joe to get comfortable behind the rifle and make the gear work for him. If you have a unique body type or physical need, know that Spartan products adapt to fit you.

Every shooting situation has a Spartan solution

With most other gear, you’re stuck with how it comes out of the box. Sometimes you’ve got a bipod, and you need the legs longer for a specific shooting stage. Perhaps you like the size of one tripod head but wish the legs could be slightly different for an upcoming mountain hunt. With Spartan’s M14X1.5 modular thread design, you can mix and match parts between different pieces of gear you own or purchase accessory legs until you come up with something that solves your terrain challenge.

Spartan’s M14x1.5 modular leg technology is simple, but it transforms your bipod and tripod into radically versatile tools that adapt into anything you need them to be. Your setup is important to us. We aim to provide the answers and flexibility so you can focus on the shot.
