Intended Environments
Hoplite
When you are going to great lengths to shave weight and bulk from your hunting kit, this is the perfect tool for the job. The relatively short legs mean it’s primarily a shooting tool. Having three legs noticeably increases steadiness over a bipod, and the four leg pitches with height adjustments make it awesome for adapting to uneven terrain on mountain hunts. It can also double as a lightweight mini glassing platform with an HD Optics Adapter or Binocular Adapter.
Ascent Gen 2 with Davros Pro Head
This is the ultimate do-everything hunting tripod. If you’re going to do some serious glassing, this is the best choice. The Davros Pro Head gives smooth panning and precise control, plus the adjustable center column increases comfort. You’ll also want an HD Optics Adapter or Binocular Adapter if you plan to interface with your optics.
Our fast MagnaSwitch system enables you to swap an optic for a rifle to make your shot before the sheep walks over the ridge. Practice your long-range prone marksmanship by splaying the legs to their outermost pitch, then use those skills for bears in the spring. Make a standing shot, or extend the front legs fully and vary the pitch angle on the rear leg to get around a weird log. Whatever problem the terrain throws at you, the Ascent can handle it. Then unscrew the legs and turn them into trekking poles to get you and your heavy pack back safely.
Hercules
When weight is not an issue, but extreme versatility for PRS or tactical style shooting is desired, this big boy will deliver! Adjust the legs to their outermost pitch for an enormously wide-based prone platform. Build a locked-in sitting platform by clicking the legs into the second pitch position. Kneeling and standing to deal with barriers are no problem with the third and fourth pitch positions. Simple twist locks on each leg let you fine-tune the height or compensate for wildly uneven terrain.
Spartan made precision a top priority for this product, so we engineered a different attachment system called Disc-Lok that takes out any chance of movement between firearm and tripod. This beast will handle the ferocious recoil of a 50 BMG, so your heavy tactical rifle will be no problem. Your spotter can pull double duty out of the Hercules if they put a Heavy Duty Optics Adapter onto their glass. The standard Disc-Lok adapters for Picatinny and M-Lok are focused on speed for compact rifle platforms and lightweight chassis firearms. When maximum stability is required, reach for the HD Disc-Lok adapters for your Arca or Picatinny style attachment.
