Classic Rifle Adapter - Product Guide

Overview

The Classic Rifle Adapter allows rifles equipped with traditional removable sling swivel studs to attach to Spartan bipods, tripods and accessories using the MagnaSwitch™ system.

It provides a simple and reliable mounting point for Spartan products while requiring only minimal installation.

Step 1 – Removing the Sling Stud

To begin installation, remove the existing sling swivel stud from the rifle stock using the supplied 3 mm hex key.

Before removing the stud, confirm that it is not permanently bonded into the stock. If you are unsure, consult the rifle manufacturer or a qualified gunsmith before proceeding. If it is permanently bonded, you will need to use the Classic Guide Adapter, as this can be installed over the top of the sling stud rather than replacing it.

Step 2 – Selecting the Correct Gasket and Screw

Choose the synthetic gasket that best matches the profile of your rifle stock. The kit includes gaskets designed for flat, curved, and highly curved stocks.

Next, select the appropriate screw based on the thread type and depth of the original sling stud fitting. Most hunting rifles use 10/32 UNF screws, which are finished in black oxide and are compatible with the majority of modern rifle stocks.

Step 3 – Installing the Adapter

Position the selected gasket over the sling stud hole on the rifle stock. Place the Classic Rifle Adapter on top of the gasket and align the adapter with the hole.

Insert the chosen screw through the adapter and into the stock. Using the supplied 3 mm hex key, tighten the screw until the adapter is securely fixed in place. Now the screw will act as your magnetic mounting point for your Spartan accessory.

Take care not to overtighten the screw, as excessive force may damage the rifle stock or the adapter.

Step 4 – Using the Optional Adhesive Pad

For additional stability during installation, the included double-sided adhesive pad can be placed between the gasket and the rifle stock.

Ensure that the correct side of the pad is applied to the stock, as it has been designed to be removable if necessary.

Please note that the adhesive pad is intended for use with Spartan products. Spartan Precision Equipment cannot accept responsibility for failures involving third-party equipment.

Step 5 –  Screw Identification

The 10/32 UNF screws supplied in the kit are finished in black oxide and are compatible with most U.S.-made rifles.

The silver-finished screws include the metric screw options and the 10 gauge wood screw.

If your rifle uses a 10/24 UNC thread, please contact Spartan support for assistance. This thread has a coarser pitch and will not fit the supplied 10/32 UNF screws.
