Before using your Javelin Pro Hunt Tac Bipod, you will need to have an adapter installed on your rifle, unless you already have a gunsmith adapter installed. Please be aware some bipods may not come with an adapter on purchase. Please read the product guide carefully or contact us for assistance if needed. Here are some adapter installation guides to help you get started.
If this option isn't working for you, we have an article that looks at other options for fitting the Classic Rifle Adapter. View other installation options here.
Attaching and Removing the Bipod
Attaching the Javelin Bipod to your rifle is quick and effortless. Align the bipod spigot with the slot on the installed adapter and guide it into position. The integrated magnet will assist in locating the spigot and securely holding the bipod in place during use.
To remove the bipod, firmly pull the bipod downward from the adapter. This quick-detach system allows the bipod to be removed instantly when mobility is required.
Pan and Lock Function
The Javelin Bipod allows shooters to track moving targets using its controlled panning capability.
To enable panning, insert the bipod with the lever facing away from you, allowing approximately 30 degrees of pan movement. This provides the flexibility needed when following moving game or adjusting aim across a wider field.
If a fixed shooting position is preferred, insert the bipod with the lever facing toward you. This will lock the pan movement and create a more rigid shooting platform.
Cant Adjustment and Locking Lever
The bipod also allows the rifle to cant, enabling shooters to level their rifle on uneven ground.
To lock the cant at your preferred angle, push the cant lever to the left. This secures the bipod and stabilizes the rifle once the correct shooting position has been established.
If you need to reposition the lever for comfort or clearance, the lever can be pulled outward and rotated to the desired position before releasing it back into place.
Leg Lock-Out
The Javelin Bipod features a mechanical leg lock-out system that secures the legs when they are deployed for shooting.
When the legs are extended, they lock firmly into position to provide a stable shooting platform. To fold the legs for transport or storage, simply press the release button to disengage the lock and fold the legs.
Leg Height Adjustment
The Javelin Bipod allows precise height adjustments to suit different shooting positions and terrain.
To adjust the height, depress the spring-loaded lever and extend or retract the lower leg section to the desired length. The internal spring system ensures smooth and controlled adjustment, even when operating the bipod from a prone position.
Note: The spring-loaded lever should be fully pressed in when adjusting to reduce chance of leg noise.

Leg Orientation
The orientation of the Tac Leg adjustment lever can be customized to suit the shooter’s preference. To change the lever position, loosen the two grub screws located at the top of the leg and rotate the leg section until the lever is in the desired position. Once adjusted, retighten the screws to secure the leg. Avoid overtightening during this process.
Changing Legs
The body of the Javelin Bipod features Spartan’s threaded M14 leg system, allowing the legs to be easily removed and replaced.
To remove a leg, simply rotate it counter-clockwise until it unscrews from the bipod body. The bipod is compatible with the full range of Spartan M14 legs, enabling shooters to configure the bipod for different shooting positions and environments.
This modular design allows the bipod to be tailored for prone shooting, seated shooting, or uneven terrain.
Feet
Each bipod is fitted with a stainless steel tip and tethered synthetic rubber boot. Gently pull off the synthetic boot to expose the stainless steel tip for better grip on difficult terrain.
All feet have a flat edge to allow a spanner for removal to enable use of purchased Spartan foot accessories such as Claw Feet, 2 Part Foot Spikes and Snow Shoes.
