Overview

The SpringBok Tripod is designed for hunters who require a fast, lightweight, and adaptable shooting support in dynamic hunting environments. Built around Spartan’s innovative SpringBok Silicone technology, the tripod enables shooters to transition rapidly between shooting positions without the need for mechanical adjustments. Whether moving from prone to standing or adjusting between kneeling and seated positions, the SpringBok Tripod responds instantly to changes in terrain and target movement. The flexible silicone body allows the tripod to move naturally with the shooter, making it ideal for fast-paced hunting situations. The tripod also features the MagnaSwitch™ magnetic quick-detach system, allowing a rifle to be mounted or removed in seconds while maintaining excellent stability. Combined with a twistable head for additional shot control, the SpringBok Tripod offers a steady and responsive platform for precise shooting in both woodland and open terrain.

MagnaSwitch™ Adapter Compatibility

The SpringBok Tripod utilizes the Spartan MagnaSwitch™ attachment system, which works with the full range of Spartan MagnaSwitch rifle and optics adapters. Please note that the SpringBok Tripod does not include a MagnaSwitch adapter. A compatible adapter must be purchased separately and installed on your rifle before the tripod can be used.

Deploying the SpringBok Tripod

The SpringBok Tripod was designed with speed and simplicity at the forefront. Unlike many traditional shooting tripods, it can be deployed quickly with one hand, allowing the shooter to stay focused on the target. Before beginning your hunt, adjust the tripod to your preferred shooting height. To deploy the tripod, release the retaining clip that holds the legs together. Hold one leg of the tripod with your thumb and middle finger forming a circle, then use your index finger to flick the legs outward. As the legs open, push the tripod slightly away from you and then flick it back to fully extend the legs. Once deployed, locate the magnetic spigot head into the MagnaSwitch™ adapter installed on your rifle or optics. For additional stability, grasp the head firmly and twist clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Attaching and Removing the Tripod

Attaching the tripod to your rifle is quick and effortless. Simply lower the rifle, with a MagnaSwitch adapter installed, onto the magnetic spigot located on top of the tripod. The magnet will guide the spigot into position and securely retain the tripod during use. To remove the tripod, firmly pull the tripod downward from the adapter. If required, a thumb can also be used to pop the rifle off the spigot. This quick-release system allows the rifle to be detached rapidly when mobility is required.

Positional Adjustments

The SpringBok Tripod features an innovative silicone body reinforced with spring steel, allowing extremely fast elevation and pitch changes without the need for mechanical adjustments or moving latches. This flexible design allows the tripod to naturally adapt to different shooting positions, including standing, kneeling, seated, and prone. The system is particularly effective during fast-paced hunts where multiple targets may be engaged from varying positions.

Leg Height Adjustment

Adjusting the leg height is simple and intuitive. To change the height of the tripod, twist the leg counter-clockwise to loosen the lock, extend or retract the leg to the desired length, and then twist clockwise to tighten the lock again. This system allows quick adjustments in the field while maintaining strength and stability.

Feet

Each tripod leg is fitted with a steel-tipped aluminium foot that provides reliable traction across a wide range of terrain. These feet offer excellent grip on soft ground, grass, and uneven surfaces. Please note that the feet fitted to the SpringBok Tripod are not compatible with other Spartan interchangeable foot accessories.

Changing Legs

The legs of the SpringBok Tripod can be removed and replaced to suit different terrain or user preferences. To remove a leg, simply rotate it anti-clockwise until it unscrews from the tripod body. Once removed, the leg can be replaced with any compatible Spartan M14 leg option, allowing the tripod to be configured for a variety of hunting environments.

Dangerous Game Head

The SpringBok Tripod is supplied with a MagnaSwitch™ attachment system for fast and secure rifle mounting.

For situations where speed is critical, such as dangerous game hunting, a Quick Shot Rest can be fitted as an alternative. This provides an instant support option without needing to engage the spigot.

To install:

• Remove the MagnaSwitch™ spigot using a spanner or grips
• Thread the Quick Shot Rest directly into the tripod head
• Apply a small amount of medium-strength (blue) thread lock if required for added security

This setup offers a faster, more instinctive shooting solution when time is limited for example African big game.
