Overview

The Spartan Binocular Tripod Adapter is designed to maximise stability during glassing sessions. Its low-profile design allows it to fit easily inside a binocular harness while providing a secure mounting solution for tripod use.

Using the MagnaSwitch™ attachment system, the adapter allows binoculars to be attached to Spartan products such as the Hoplite, Sentinel, and Ascent tripods, as well as Davros heads, in just seconds. This enables hunters and observers to benefit from increased stability while scanning terrain or tracking wildlife.

The Binocular Tripod Adapter is available in three sizes (#1, #2, and #3) to accommodate different binocular models and body shapes.

Installing the Clamp

Place the binocular clamp around the binoculars in the desired position. For best stability, the clamp should be positioned near the centre of gravity of the binoculars.

Ensure that the slot for the square nut is facing toward the centre of the binoculars, then insert the square nut into the slot.

Select the screw length that properly engages the thread without protruding excessively. Using the provided Allen key, gently tighten the screw until the clamp is secure.

Avoid overtightening. The clamp should be snug and stable without rotating on the binocular housing.

Sizing Guide

The Binocular Tripod Adapter is available in three primary sizes to accommodate different binocular models.

  • Size #1 – Compact binocular bodies
  • Size #2 – Standard 42–50 mm binoculars
  • Size #3 – Larger binoculars and rangefinding models

Some specialised models, such as the Swarovski EL Range, use a dedicated EL-Range size.

Choosing the right size ensures a secure and stable fit for your binoculars, enhancing your viewing experience in the field.

Don't See your Model ?

Step 1: Gather Your Tools

Binoculars

A short section small diameter string

A ruler or tape measure

A Sharpie (optional, but helpful)

Step 2: Measure the Circumference

Wrap the string tightly around the binoculars where you want the adapter to be mounted. Mark the string where it completes a full circle.

Step 3: Measure and Compare

Measure the length of the string with a ruler to find the circumference. Use the sizing chart below to find your adapter size:

Size

Smallest (Metric)

Largest (Metric)

Smallest (Imperial)

Largest (Imperial)

Size 1

14.4 cm

16.0 cm

6 3/16"

6 13/16"

Size 3

18.6 cm

Method 2: Using Calipers

Step 1: Measure the Diameter
Using calipers, take two measurements of the diameter at the chosen mounting location. Average these measurements if your binoculars are not perfectly round.

Step 2: Compare with the Chart Below
Match your diameter measurements with the chart below to determine the correct adapter size:

Size

Smallest (inches)

1

1.810

2.010

2

1.970

2.160

3

Choosing the right size ensures a secure and stable fit for your binoculars, enhancing your viewing experience in the field.
