Gobbler Adapter - Product Guide

Overview

The Gobbler Adapter provides a secure mounting solution for attaching Spartan MagnaSwitch™ compatible products to shotguns via the magazine cap. Designed for quick installation, it allows seamless integration with Spartan bipods and tripods in the field.

Step 1 – Disassemble the Unit

Hold the knurled end of the Gobbler and turn the hexagonal wheel anti-clockwise to fully disassemble the unit. Remove all components and ensure all five parts, including the rubber gasket, are accounted for.

Step 2 – Remove Sling Stud Pin

Using the supplied Torx key, unscrew the sling stud pin anti-clockwise and remove it from the shotgun.

Step 3 – Install Adapter Housing

Position the Gobbler housing over the sling stud location. Align the adapter eyelets with the sling stud, ensuring the shotgun sling stud sits centrally. Reinsert the sling stud pin and carefully thread it back through, ensuring the threads align correctly (note: one side of the housing is threadless). Tighten clockwise until secure.

Step 4 – Fit Gasket and Tension Ring

Ensure the assembly is tightened flush, there should be no protrusion when running a finger over the surface. Place the rubber gasket over the stainless steel housing to protect the magazine cap. Slide the knurled tensioning ring over the housing, ensuring the flared end faces toward the trigger. Thread it clockwise by hand until snug against the gasket.

Note: The adapter is designed to be hand-tightened only onto the magazine cap. This ensures a secure fit while reducing the risk of the magazine cap loosening or unintentionally unscrewing during use.

Step 5 – Install MagnaSwitch™ Housing

Place the MagnaSwitch™ housing over the stainless steel body, ensuring it sits vertically in line with the barrel. Position the turn-style wheel onto the thread and rotate clockwise until it engages. Tighten until secure and fully seated with the MagnaSwitch™ spigot interface.

Final Setup

Reattach your sling to the sling stud on the front of the Gobbler. Your shotgun is now ready to be used with the MagnaSwitch™ system. For optimal performance, pair with the SpringBok Bipod or SpringBok Tripod.
