The Altai is a fixed blade hunting knife inspired by our founder Rob Gearing’s hunt in Mongolia’s Altai Mountains. Designed in collaboration with the makers of most trusted knives in the industry, it carries our feel throughout, from the carbon-fiber-inspired handle texture to our signature Spartan head on the handle pins and hits of hi-vis orange that make it easy to spot when light fades and conditions turn rough.

The Altai features a blade just under 4 inches long, an ideal length for control and easy reference when field dressing an animal. The blade is crafted from 14C28N steel with a durable ceramic coating for corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention. A striking notch on the spine pairs with the included ferro rod to help get fire started when the day runs long, while the included ceramic rod makes backcountry touch-ups simple and fast.

Jimping on the finger choil, spine, and rear handle provides added grip and tactile reference in hand. A ringed pommel delivers a swift, secure draw, even with gloves on, and a hole in the pommel is ready for a fob or additional retention setup.

Everything stores securely in the included thermoplastic sheath, equipped with reflective orange paracord that’s used on the lanyard as well as the pulls for the ferro and ceramic rods, making essential tools easier to find when visibility drops. From the first cut to the last chore back at camp, the Altai is a capable hunting and survival companion shaped by real experience in nature’s most unforgiving mountains.
