Shared Features

All three bipods share the same Spartan MagnaSwitch™ attachment system, which enables them to be attached to the rifle stock/rail using one of our proprietary range of classic rifle adapters.

The Javelin Pro Hunt Tac includes a Classic Rifle Adapter as standard. For the Lite and Lite TL models, adapters are available separately or can be bundled at checkout for an additional $10, with options including Classic Rifle, M-Lok, and Picatinny adapters. These are suited for traditional sling swivel stud rifles, and additional adapters are available for example: Key Mod, and UIT systems.

All of the bipod bodies and cant blocks are CNC machined from 7075 aluminum billet, which is hard-anodized for corrosion resistance.

They feature a locking cant facility operated by a small lever on the front face of the bipod, which enables the rifle scope to be levelled 15° on uneven ground. To track moving game, we built the capability to traverse the rifle left and right 30°. If you don’t want any traverse movement, each Javelin can be fitted into their rifle adapter in the reverse position, so they are fixed.

All current Javelin models feature threaded M14 leg designs, allowing complete legs to be swapped or upgraded to longer options, ideal for seated or kneeling shots. Sharp steel tips provide solid footing on hard terrain, while included rubber boots slip over the tips for better grip on soft ground.

Javelin bipods are equipped with our MagnaSwitch™ attachment system, designed to be removed from the rifle until needed, rather than folding up and remaining attached. This approach has practical advantages: the low profile adapter increases comfort while carrying a slung rifle and reduces the chances of snagging on grass or brush. It also means one bipod can be shared across multiple rifles by using different adapters, making it a cost effective and versatile solution. Plus, the clear rifle stock leaves room for other support options like tripods or shooting sticks.

Differences

Javelin Lite

The Javelin Lite is the featherweight of the Javelin family, focusing on simplicity. Its Lite Legs are non-adjustable and are a fixed length. This gives you a ground clearance of 7.25”, and it weighs just 4.8 oz.

This bipod does not mechanically lock in the open position, but instead features a simple and functional magnetic leg hold-open mechanism. The streamlined design keeps costs low, making it an excellent entry point into the Spartan system.

Javelin Lite TL

The Javelin Lite TL shares its body with the Lite but adds height adjustability with Pro Legs featuring twist locks.

Our twist-lock legs are fully field serviceable and don’t rely on rubber collets. Instead, they use durable aluminum pressure sleeves, making it easy to disassemble them in the field without worrying about losing any critical parts.

Now you get the ability to adjust the height from 7 ¼ - 9 ½” with only a slight weight increase to 6.3 oz.

The twist collars are easy to grip, even in wet or cold conditions.

Javelin Pro Hunt Tac

Built for the most demanding environments, the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac incorporates mechanical leg locks into its body for greater stability on steep or uneven terrain.

Each Tac Leg has a two-part incrementally adjustable, spring-assisted mechanical locking design. They are operated by depressing the small lever on the lower leg. It’s spring-loaded, so by slightly unweighting one of the legs the height can be quickly adjusted via a series of notches.

Despite the added features, it weighs only 7.6 oz and is available in Standard (7"–9") and Long (9"–12") versions.

Recommendations

Choose the Javelin Lite when you want the lightest weight and simplicity is your top priority. If price is a limiting factor, this excellent product is a great place to step into the Spartan world. It’s an top choice for flatter terrain, bench shooting, or hunting from blinds.

We found it works best on flatter ground to rolling hills, where you won’t have to worry about a bipod leg folding in on itself. With 15° of cant, it handles mild unevenness, but its non-locking legs make it less ideal for steep slopes.

Choose The Javelin Lite TL if you’re in similar terrain but want height adjustability. More rugged terrain is now within your grasp because you can adjust the twist lock with one hand and move a leg up or down to level the rifle on uneven ground. A deer, antelope, elk, sheep, moose, bear, caribou, or African plains game hunter would get a ton of use out of this in gentle to medium difficulty terrain. If you’re hunting anywhere with grass, sagebrush, or anything that impedes your field of view when shooting from a low position, this model is a worthy upgrade.

Select the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac when you need maximum versatility to take advantage of any shot opportunity you might get. This is especially valuable in steep mountains with extreme shot angles because the legs lock open for extra security. The fast height adjustment lets you quickly create a level shooting base no matter how jagged the terrain. Choose the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac Bipod for maximum versatility in demanding terrain. In steep mountain environments where every shot angle is extreme and time is limited, the locking legs provide added stability and confidence. Rapid height adjustment lets you level out on broken, uneven ground fast. That’s exactly what JE Wilds relied on while hunting chamois in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. A brutal 50-year storm rolled in, tents were shredded, and gear was soaked, but the Pro Hunt Tac gave him the solid shooting base he needed to make the shot that counted.

Some hunters who are extremely size conscious want the Standard version because it’s slightly more compact. We like the Long version when you need to deal with tall vegetation or adjust the legs for different heights on boulder-strewn hillsides. If you can afford the higher purchase price and extra couple ounces, the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac dramatically increases your ability to make a solid shot from any angle. Whether you’re maneuvering through thick brush or shooting across rocky hillsides, the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac delivers secure, fast deployment and a rock-solid shooting platform.
