Carter Andrews

Carter Andrews has spent his life chasing wild places. Most people know him for his time on the water, but the same grit that built his reputation as a world class angler is now carrying over to the hunting world.

Career Start
I have fished for over fifty years and worked professionally for forty. I have spent my life outdoors from oceans to mountains, so stepping into hunting felt natural. I grew up bird hunting and in 2024 began hunting with a rifle. The learning process and the challenge are what pull me in.
Favorite Game
My favourite fish is usually the next one, but smallmouth bass and black marlin sit at the top. My hunting is still growing. I enjoy deer management on my property and close range hog hunting in the creeks and swamps of Central Florida.
Field
Most of my background is upland and waterfowl. I have run German shorthairs and retrievers for years. Recently I moved into rifle hunting which opened the door to deer and hogs. I am still learning from experienced hunters and applying what makes sense for the situations I face.
Notable Achievements

Two times Jackson hole won fly winner, two times ESPN great outdoor games casting champion, member team, USA, World Flyfishing Fishing championships, member team, USA world, offshore championships, bronze, medal. Four time ESPN Madfin champion.

Most people first met Carter through fishing. He has spent more than fifty years on the water and built a professional career that spans freshwater, saltwater, fly, and conventional tackle. The cameras came later. His audience grew because of his honest approach and his skill, but the drive behind it all reaches past fishing alone. When Carter hunts he brings the same discipline he learned from decades of reading wind, tide, and weather. He moves through new country with the same patience he used on the ocean.

His background in bird hunting set the foundation. Upland days in the Rockies, waterfowl seasons with German shorthairs and retrievers, and long miles spent scouting country gave him the instincts that made his 2024 jump into rifle hunting feel like a natural step. He is still new enough to be absorbing everything he can. Deer on his property, hogs in the creeks and swamps of Central Florida, and the challenge of big country all keep him moving forward.

What separates Carter is not the scale of his travels but the way he works. He stays deliberate, efficient, and adaptable. He carries only what he trusts and values gear that moves fast and never gets in the way. That is why Spartan fits him so well. Lightweight carbon equipment built for long miles and quick transitions matches the way he hunts.

Today Carter’s work blends conservation, education, and exploration. He shows the effort that happens long before the shot and the respect that follows after. For him the story always matters as much as the outcome. His time in the field reflects the reality behind wild places, the sweat behind every success, and the grounded honesty that keeps him the same wherever he is in the world.
