Cons: Lack of Lockdown: The main drawback is its inability to lock the rifle securely into the ballhead of your tripod. Excessive Movement: Instead of holding the rifle steady for precise shots, it allows the rifle to swing and move too freely. This actually creates more movement than if you were shooting freehand. Verdict: While beautifully made, it fails at the most critical task of a tripod setup: keeping the rifle rock-steady. The inability to mechanically lock the system makes it frustrating for precision shooting and hunting at range."

"This little mount holds a full-size rifle steady enough to walk away from and have it float - detaching is less than one second. Hardly notice the adapter on the front sling mount, too!"

"good adapter, fits solidly to tripod to allow rifle to mount easily. one improvement I would suggest would be to make it 4-way so it can mount quickly without having to turn it to the correct orientation."

"I am happy with the quality of the adapter with only one issue. I use RRS tripods and mounting accessories. They use a locking pin to keep the attachment from walking forward or backward. I wish that the adapter had the locking hole machined into the bottom of the adapter to do the same. I will machine the holes, but it would have saved time to have them already in the adapter. But, the adapter is well made."

"Having the Arca to Spartan converter coming in really handy switching from binoculars to the rifle. I did spray paint it bright orange, taping off the post, so that if it's ever dropped in the grass I can find it."
