"Worth the couple of extra dollars to keep dirt out of the attachment. Looks nicer when the bipod isn't in use as well. Just hold your bipod up to it to remove it and throw it in your pocket or attach it to your action(magnet is very strong) until your ready to take your bipod or tripod back off your firearm."
